dragonfly flew away crashed and burned

I spent over a week perfecting my dragonfly brooch. Moulding the body, rolling the wings, attaching the brooch finding and then syringing veins in the wings.
Then I began clearing up whilst I waited for the dragonfly to completely dry.
Just then disaster struck, I turned around caught the lead to the warmer that my pieces were sitting on and at that point saw the dragonfly soaring through the air. Then the momentum was lost and the precious
piece fell dramatically to the ground where the impact was too much. The piece became many, much smaller pieces.
Unable to contain my frustration I became a mad woman and uncontrollable stomped around the lounge expelling expletives like I had never done before.
Now I need a few days to overcome my disappointment and then I will begin my creation again.

My life has become a craft wonderland. My house being the optimum venue.
Last night my son visited. 21 year old James like every other young man doesn't visit his mum often enough. Bless!
No films on only one laptop, Richard and his laptop already drifting in the land of mystical makebelieve (no sorry ploughing reality). Lol.
So we played with glass. Fused, slumped. the fusing being more successful making a lovely sun catcher (ok didn't really work, Glass didn't slunp over enough to make a tie hole. We had to tie cotton around it. No fishing wire see). Antway was great fun, wasted most of the glass we used, but who cares.
Back onto the glass website to buy some more.

Today trying to get on with my silver pieces to submit for my level 2, ignoring the pile of ironing.

Welcome to my world!

MId Suffolk Show - 1st May 2011

A really windy day. We did our best to hang on to our gazebo, as you can see. Lol!

Anyway, we met some really lovely people, even old customers. It was lovely to see Lucy there and discover how much hubby had loved the cufflinks at christmas.

Sold a bit, thats always nice, but more importantly informed some people of the wonders of fingerprint Jewellery and where they can buy locally.

Next visit is Crows Hall Debenham on 15th May, really looking forward to it.
Lets hope for a little less wind though.

Off to sew up tent now. Lolx
